EIT Health Spain would like to invite you to the InfoDay for Entrepreneurs 2022 that will take place on February 1 in Bizkaia, in collaboration with TECNALIA Ventures, the Deep Tech Venture Builder of TECNALIA. The session will also be accessible remotely through Zoom videoconference platform.

During the session we will introduce the EIT Health Acceleration programmes that have recently opened applications and will be presented by Joan Grasas, Entrepreneurship Lead. Those programmes are unique offerings that give you the opportunity to adopt new skills, connect with a vast network of experts, access new markets and finance, among others. More information about the EIT Health programme.

The InfoDay is a great opportunity to get answered any questions you may have about EIT Health and our programmes and help you finding the right programme to accelerate your project. Besides, we will have the testimonial of two EIT Health Alumni startups. On the one hand, Haritz Zabaleta will introduce Fesia, a deep tech startup that develops, manufactures and commercializes innovative medical devices based on Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) in order to provide support in the recovery of injuries from neurological disorders. On the other hand, Rubén Molina-Conde will share the EIT Health path of Innitius, start-up focused on Enhancing Diagnostics for Women’s Health with medical devices for the diagnosis of pathologies with an associated change in a woman’s cervical tissue consistency.

The event will be organised in collaboration with TECNALIA Ventures, EIT Health Network Partner. Through TECNALIA Ventures, its deep tech venture builder, the TECNALIA research and development organization (RTO) collaborates in the identification and deployment of business opportunities with commercialization potential, through the development of its technology assets incubation acceleration programme.

Germán Lasa, Chief Marketing Officer at TECNALIA Ventures
Germán holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) of the Deusto Business School, a Postgraduate of Marketing, Sales and Digital Management of the same business school and another Master of Corporate, Institutional and Audiovisual Communication of the University of Deusto and a Bachelor’s Degree of Humanities specialized in Communication of the same university. During his 13 years of experience he performed the role of Marketing and Communication Manager of three R D I Divisions of TECNALIA. and he is nowadays the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of TECNALIA Ventures, the deep tech venture builder of TECNALIA. Joan Grasas, Entrepreneurship Lead at EIT Health Spain
Joan is a healthtech entrepreneur and expert patient. By training, he is an engineer with a master in telecommunications, graduate in market research, and MBA within the internationalization programme of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade ICEX. He has co-founded three startups, has participated in different entrepreneur programmes, and mentors early-stage projects. As innovation and tech transfer manager, Joan has collaborated with several research institutes and SMEs of the biomedical industry.

Haritz Zabaleta, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder at Fesia
All-in-one at medtech start-up Fesia Technology, researcher, innovative medical product creator. Applied researcher involved in all kind of technical challenges applied to neuro-rehabilitation medical devices. Working on the product development process to transform research projects into products for assessment and therapy. Over 13 years in rehabilitation and neuro rehabilitation technology.

Rubén Molina-Conde, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder at Innitius

Rubén studied Building Engineering and Master in Structural Engineering (speciality in Biomechanics) in the University of Granada. He was part of the developing team of Fine Birth during his PhD, which he quit to found INNITIUS. From its establishment in 2017, the company has advanced until the current clinical stage, and continues geting closer to market, targeted for 2023.
