El ITI Technological Centre has announced that it will lead the Finance and Legal node of the AI Factory of Barcelona Supercomputing CentreThe initiative will focus on promoting the identification and development of AI-based solutions in the sector, addressing key issues such as regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, document and contract automation, and legal and regulatory research.
Likewise, the Valencian Technology Centre specializing in ICT brought together more than 100 companies at the event Softing TIC&TALK Meeting to address how technological innovation is transforming decision-making, productivity, and software development.
Expanding technological and scientific capabilities
El ITI Technological Centre will lead the Finance and Legal sector node of the Artificial Intelligence Factory of the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre-National Supercomputing Centre (BSC AI Factory), within the framework of the initiative promoted by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function to extend the technological and scientific capabilities of this infrastructure to strategic sectors throughout the territory.
This node will address cross-cutting challenges such as regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, document and contractual automation, legal and regulatory research, as well as the potential of Artificial Intelligence agents to transform knowledge-intensive processes into verticalized resources and solutions.
The initiative will connect companies, especially SMEs, sector organizations and agents of the innovation ecosystem with the capabilities of the BSC-CNS Artificial Intelligence Factory, as well as with ITI's technological knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, data and digital technologies.

In this sense, AI has great transformative potential in the financial and legal sector, an area in which the Technology Centre will promote an approach oriented towards its practical application in processes, products and services, combining efficiency, scalability and innovation with criteria of responsibility, security, ethical use and data protection.
The Finance and Legal node is part of a state network of five sectoral nodes promoted by the Ministry and coordinated by the AI4ES consortium, which is made up of the Technology Centres Eurecat, ITI, ICTC, ITG y Tecnalia, with the aim of accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence in strategic sectors such as health, energy, agriculture, finance and legal, and communications and media.
Adoption of AI, data, and digital twins in business
Likewise, the Valencian Technology Centre specializing in ICT has held a new edition of the event Softing TIC&TALK Meeting in Alicante, which brought together more than 100 entrepreneurs and professionals from the province's ICT and innovation ecosystem. The event, held at Finca Torre Juana, showcased disruptive ideas and opportunities in different areas such as artificial intelligence, data, digital twins, IoT, and new development methods. software.
The opening was carried out by Laura Olcina, managing director of ITIwho has emphasized that the spirit of the event is “to bring the technology down to earth, see how it is applied and understand what decisions need to be made so that an idea, a pilot or a proof of concept becomes a real impact.” Olcina has emphasized that “Innovation means enabling a company with scattered data to make better decisions, enabling an SME to gain productivity, or enabling an industrial plant to anticipate incidents with a digital twin.”

One of the central sessions of the day addressed the transition “from scattered data to strategic decisions,” with the participation of Soledad Roche, Head of Innovation and Sustainability at Colortec Química; María Blasco, Director of the Technological Consulting Department at ITI; and Salvador Santonja, Coordinator of the Cyberconnectivity R&D Group at ITI. The presentation demonstrated, from a practical perspective, how ITI has helped Colortec implement an innovative solution through a roadmap established in collaboration with the technology center.
Artificial intelligence was another key theme of the meeting. Toni de la Prieta, head of Accenture's Advanced Technology Centre in Spain and Portugal, analyzed real-world case studies demonstrating how this technology is transforming businesses, government agencies, and work processes. He emphasized the positive aspects of AI, explaining how, for example, this technology is currently assisting the deaf community—numbering over 70 million people worldwide—with switchboard management and the processing of building permits by city councils.
The program also focused on SME productivity, with a presentation by Aurelio Rubio Ros, ERP pre-sales director at Inforges Tecnología, who discussed how the combination of artificial intelligence, innovation, and ERP systems allows small and medium-sized enterprises to gain efficiency, agility, and adaptability to new challenges. “The future is ERP+AI,” he asserted.

The day also included a session on smart maintenance with digital twins, led by Eduardo Delgado Díaz, digital transformation project manager at IDEA Ingeniería. His presentation focused on the use of digital twins that integrate operational data and BIM models to move from reactive management to a culture of operational anticipation in complex plants.
The closing remarks were delivered by Javier Llácer, director of the Technological Services unit at ITIwith the presentation “Ctrl+Alt+AI: Software is no longer programmed, it is orchestrated”, in which he explained how artificial intelligence is transforming the entire software development cycle, beyond the writing of code, after which a networking lunch was held in which the attendees were able to share their experiences.
